РОЛЬ ІДЕНТИЧНОСТІ У ДЕРЖАВОТВОРЧИХ ПРОЦЕСАХ ІЗ ПОГЛЯДУ ІНСТИТУЦІЙНОГО ПІДХОДУ

Проаналізовано еволюцію підходів до розуміння ролі ідентичності у державотворчих процесах із погляду інституційного підходу. Установлено взаємозв’язок між ідентичністю, формами інституційного розвитку та спроможністю держави. У перших дослідженнях ранніх етапів становлення держави інституціоналістами практично не згадується роль ідентичності в державному будівництві. Однак згодом з’явилися праці, що підтверджують тезу про важливість політики ідентичності у становленні політичних інститутів. Коли еліта, насамперед економічна, була змушена взяти участь у хрестових походах, це сприяло створенню правителями екстрактивних інститутів. Застосування широкого спектру кількісних і якісних даних для розгляду конкретних механізмів дало змогу з’ясувати значення ідентичності для розвитку якісних бюрократичних інститутів.
