PROSPECTS OF APPLICATION OF THE EUROPEAN EXPERIENCE OF CROSS-BORDER COOPERATION IN UKRAINE

Abstract

The article analyzes the European experience of cross-border cooperation, the advantages of implementing such cooperation, as well as the state of cross-border cooperation in Ukraine, the possibilities and prospects of implementing the European experience of cooperation of border regions in our country. Note that 10 Euroregions have been formed at the moment, in which Ukraine takes an active part. This indicates the deepening of bilateral relations between Ukraine and the EU countries bordering it. The purpose of the article is to analyze the development and success of cross-border cooperation in EU countries and to determine the prospects for the integration of the European experience of cross-border cooperation in Ukraine. The number of Euroregions formed on the borders of the EU countries and currently operating successfully is given. Also examined is the process of formation and development of euroregions, and their role in promoting economic, cultural, and social convergence of border regions of Ukraine and the EU. The article considers the importance of cross-border cooperation between Ukraine and European Union countries in terms of full-scale aggression by the aggressor country. The main focus is on the security aspects of cooperation, coordination of humanitarian and military assistance, as well as joint efforts to resistance threats and challenges arising in such a complex circumstances.
