Abstract

Ensuring broad international support for the Ukrainian peace formula; uniting the efforts of states and their associations, international organizations, and sanctions pressure on Russia to make it stop its aggression are key tasks of a broad diplomatic front aimed at ending the war. Military and humanitarian support from many countries is essential for preserving the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our country, which are under threat of destruction. The role of the State of Israel in global geopolitics is significant, as it has participated in several wars and large-scale military operations over the decades and is an important partner for Ukraine in trade and economic cooperation. The attitude of the authorities of the State of Israel to the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine has undergone a certain evolution, and its support is important, and therefore the study is relevant. The purpose of the article is to study the content and evolution of the understanding of the Russian aggression against Ukraine by the authorities of the State of Israel. The author analyzes the current events of the period of full-scale war and their context, as well as the potential impact on the future of the countries. A detailed analysis of the statements of official high-ranking officials allows us to better understand the attitude and intentions of the representatives of the State of Israel towards Ukraine and the full-scale war. The article is written using the methods of source research heuristics, content analysis, analysis and synthesis of statements by official representatives of the State of Israel. It is established that at first Israel was limited to minor humanitarian aid, avoiding conflict and deterioration of relations with Russia due to the significant influence of the Russian diaspora and regional threats that Russia could pose to Israel’s security. It is emphasized that after the Hamas attack in October 2023, Israel began to support Ukraine more decisively, but to some extent continues to be cautious. Further relations depend on Western pressure and the weakening of Russia’s presence in the Middle East, as well as on the level of aggravation of the Iranian problem for both Israel and Ukraine.
