ORGANIZATION AND FORMATION OF TERRITORIAL COMMUNITIES IN THE MOUNTAINOUS SETTLEMENTS OF THE IVANO-FRANKIVSK REGION

Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the processes of organization and formation of territorial communities in the mountainous settlements of the Ivano-Frankivsk region. Given the specific geographical, socio-economic, and cultural conditions of the region, the formation of territorial communities in mountainous areas has its own peculiarities, requiring a specialized approach to governance. The paper examines the stages of community creation, their administrative structure, and functioning mechanisms in the context of decentralization and the reform of local self-government in Ukraine. In addition to these aspects, the article explores the role of party representation in local councils, which plays a crucial role in shaping political culture and influencing the dynamics of decision-making at the community level. This representation impacts how local interests are articulated and addressed within the political framework of the community. The paper further investigates the involvement of youth councils, highlighting their growing significance in the governance process. The participation of youth councils in community life is also emphasized, as they bring fresh perspectives and are instrumental in promoting youth policy development, thereby contributing to the long-term sustainability of the community’s governance structures. Furthermore, the role of public discussions is critically analyzed, with an emphasis on their importance in fostering a participatory governance model. These discussions are essential for ensuring transparency and accountability in decision-making processes. They provide a platform for residents to express their opinions and concerns, thereby ensuring that the governance of the community reflects the collective will of its members. The study also considers the challenges associated with integrating diverse viewpoints in public discussions and the strategies employed to overcome these challenges.
