PARTY COMPONENT OF DECENTRALIZATION OF POWER IN UKRAINE: REGIONAL DIMENSION

The article analyzes the role of political parties in the formation of united territorial communities in Ivano- Frankivsk region. The determining factors and prerequisites that influenced their formation are highlighted. The role of decentralization in preventing authoritarian challenges of Ukrainian social transformations is emphasized. The course and results of the 2020 local elections in Precarpathia are studied in the context of decentralization of power and the formation of capable united territorial communities. The problems of the ratio of centralized party leadership and the independence of primary party cells in communities are considered. The main factors that determined the electoral success of all-Ukrainian and regional parties in the region are highlighted. The potential opportunities and prospects of party management of the processes of democratization and European integration of local authorities in the region are analyzed. The role of local branches of political parties in the processes of decentralization will be determined by the ability to articulate local interests in combination with regional and national strategies. The role of decentralization reform in the formation of effective united territorial communities capable of resisting Russian military aggression is noted.
