THE IMPACT OF CROSS-BORDER COOPERATION ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF TERRITORIAL COMMUNITIES IN THE CONDITIONS OF A FULL-SCALE RUSSIAN INVASION OF UKRAINE

Abstract

The article analyzes the concept of cross-border cooperation for a full understanding of the impact of these processes on the development of territorial communities. In the conditions of a full-scale invasion, the importance of the Ukrainian border region in the West of our country has increased significantly, as the western regions have become a kind of hub for receiving and distributing various types of assistance – humanitarian, military and other types of assistance. It is analyzed and proven that in the conditions of a full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine, cross-border cooperation is a tool for interaction between Ukraine and the EU at the regional and territorial levels, namely in the field of development and interaction of territorial communities of both sides. Such interaction contributes to the exchange of experience, attracting foreign investment, receiving military and humanitarian assistance, which affect the economic potential and capabilities of the border region, and also contributes to the establishment of logistics and transport connections, which is an important lever for accelerating the processes of providing assistance to Ukraine from its Western partners.
