THE IMPACT OF THE WAR IN UKRAINE ON THE INCREASE OF ILLEGAL MIGRATION AT THE POLISH-UKRAINIAN STATE BORDER

The article is devoted to the problem of illegal migration on the Polish-Ukrainian state border caused by the war in Ukraine. This phenomenon is considered to be an increasing threat. However, in order to be able to analyse its real effects, it is necessary to first analyse the scale, dynamics and transformations of this phenomenon and the accompanying abuses. The aim of the article is therefore to identify the phenomenon of illegal migration caused by the war in Ukraine on the Polish-Ukrainian state border in 2015-2024. The collected material allowed to answer the question: What is the scale, forms and dynamics of the phenomenon of illegal migration on the land section of the eastern border of the European Union? The authors have made a thorough analysis of illegal crossings of the aforementioned section of the Polish state border, noting that the problem of illegal attempts to cross the green Polish-Ukrainian state border has definitely increased as a result of the introduction by Ukraine of new legislation related to, among others. with the lowering of the conscription age in order to increase the pace of mobilization to the army.
