Abstract

The article examines the issues of ensuring information security in Ukraine in the context of increasing disinformation influence. Disinformation is used to destabilize the internal situation, weaken trust in state authorities, manipulate public opinion, and create a favorable environment for external influence. The focus is on the study of national and international approaches to the formation of a system of response to disinformation influences, including legal, institutional and technological tools. The role of state information policy and the activities of bodies responsible for the protection of the information space are separately considered. An analysis of the current regulatory and legal framework for information security in Ukraine was carried out and its strengths and weaknesses were identified. A number of recommendations are proposed to improve the national strategy for countering disinformation, in particular through the development of strategic communications, increasing the level of media literacy of the population, implementing digital hygiene, and establishing effective interagency and international cooperation.
