ANTI-CORRUPTION STRATEGIES OF EUROPEAN INSTITUTIONS AND INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS

The article examines the problem of corruption as one of the key threats to global and regional development in the 21st century. Its causes, forms and consequences in the modern world are analyzed. The challenges faced by states and other subjects of international relations in the fight against corruption are identified. The role of international organizations (both governmental and non-governmental) in the field of preventing and combating corruption is analyzed. International anti-corruption standards are characterized. Mechanisms and technologies for combating corruption are considered. The effectiveness of anti-corruption strategies in the activities of the UN, EU, GRECO, Council of Europe, OECD, and non-governmental organizations is emphasized. The determining role of consolidated international cooperation in combating and preventing corruption is substantiated. The anti-corruption strategies of European institutions and international and regional organizations are studied as a set of measures aimed at preventing corrupt practices and strengthening international cooperation in combating corruption at the regional, national and global levels. The anti-corruption policy of the European Union, the main EU institutions, and international organizations is analyzed. The spectrum of anti-corruption technologies is outlined. Effective international mechanisms and tools for combating corruption are analyzed. Attention is focused on the importance of transparency, accountability, legal responsibility and consolidated international cooperation as key factors in the effective fight against corruption at the global, regional and national levels.
