Abstract

The proposed study examines the formation and functioning of the hyperohyponym range, synonyms and quasi-synonyms being part of it. Systems of semantic-cognitive concepts that create words-term semantic cores’ structures have also been investigated. Dynamic interrelationships between components both within the semantic core and lexeme structure of each individual term, as well as between co-hyponyms have been involved in the analysis and extraction of semantic features’ complexes. Connections between cohyponyms’ and hyperonyms’ semantic cores have been taken into account in this research process. In the process of study, we are observing and analyzing the semantic background due to which the words-terms are hyperonyms in the studied range. The levels of the semantic structure, their characteristics and properties, in particular, invariance, have been studied as well. Conceptualfigurative unity and universal cognitive characteristics of invariance have been investigated, as well as its role in realizing the phenomenon of multidimensionality of the word-term semantic core structure. The structure of the semantic core has characteristic properties which at the same time underlie deep semantic processes in the language. One of the main properties is the branching and hierarchy of semantic core’s structure, which creates conditions for the simultaneous functioning of many semantic levels. Each researched level necessarily has a conceptual and figurative dimension, which is reflected in the way integral and differential semantic features interact. During the study of this group of terms, we have the opportunity to observe extracted semantic phenomena and levels not only as universal language categories, but also as components of mental universals. The investigated properties of the semantic core provide for words of common vocabulary and terms a transition to other semantic fields and domains. These properties are the deep reason and potential for expanding the lexeme structure. We have noted the non-linear nature of the above-mentioned semantic processes, which is a reflection of the lingual and extralingual aspects’ unity. In the process of study, the analysis of the functioning of hypero-hyponymous words-terms in various types of discourse, both professional and interdisciplinary, have been involved.
