FEATURES OF THE VERBALIZATION OF THE KEY CONCEPT OF THE INTERNAL WORLD OF HUMANS ‟HEART” (BASED ON THE MATERIAL OF THE WORKS OF FEDIR POTUSHNIAK)

Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the peculiarities of the verbalization of the concept of the internal world of humans «heart» (based on the works of Fеdіr Potushniak). On the basis of the conducted research, we come to the conclusion that the analyzed linguistic and cultural concept is sufficiently widely represented in the language creation of Fedir Potushniak. The work uses general scientific (analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction, generalization) and proper linguistic methods (descriptive method, modeling method, descriptive method), as well as methods of internal and external interpretation (interpretation of linguistic units from the point of view of their connections with non-linguistic phenomena, methods of classification and systematization). The language means of expressing of the researched concept extremely diverse, they reflect the key features of the Ukrainian mentality. It was found that the vast majority of the analyzed language units with this concept «heart» denote the mental state of a person, anxious feelings, experiences and actions of a person. The concept of «heart» in Fеdіr Potushniak’s language work is verbalized according to the semantics of joy, elation, happiness, fun, relief, but most of all – according to the semantics of sadness, pain, disappointment, hatred, loss of the meaning of life, antipathy. In addition, it was found that the concept of «heart» also appears as a symbol of love feelings, love attachment, and can also perform a number of functions. The author concludes that, in particular, the "heart" component in the poetic works of the writer can perform the function of the brain and certain functions of the human head, even conditionally it can be assumed that the heart is located exactly in its place. The heart is also associated with a certain container in which the most diverse aspects of life are hidden. It is by such associations that the concept of «heart» is represented in Fеdіr Potushniak’s language work. It is also emphasized that, in accordance with the described artistic means, the dominant features of the concept «heart» are laid, and on this basis a conceptual model of the language personality of Fеdіr Potushniak is created.
